■praying for you after the earthquake

Friends in Christ, Tomorrow (Sunday) as we worship, the congregation I serve, St. Barnabas Lutheran Church in Cary, Illinois, will be praying for you and for all who are suffering after the earthquake and tsunami. We have been shocked and dismayed to see and hear about the damage and especially, the loss of life. Especially we will pray for the JELC congregation
in Sendai and any others who have may be having the most difficulty.

God bless you with comfort, strength, hope, endurance, and all the blessings in the days ahead. The name "Barnabas" means "encourager".

Just as Barnabas encouraged Paul(Acts), we trust many of your brothers and sisters in Christ are offering you encouragement for your ministries in this difficult time.

God bless you! -- John Cunningham Pastor of St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, Cary Illinois note: my parents are Pastor Bob and Eleanor Cunningham, who were missiona ries in Japan 1953-1991. I grew up in Japan, graduating from Canadian Academy, Kobe, in 1969.
